The number of supercars already in preponderance with the Dubai Police department notwithstanding, they have decided to add the latest Tesla Cybertruck to its panoply of cars, tweeting the image of the Cybertruck with the caption “2020” on Tuesday.
Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, already tweeted on Wednesday that this Cybertruck has already received 250,000 pre-orders.
Abdullah Khalifa, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, told Arabian business that this latest addition will enhance security at tourist locations.
The Dubai police already boasts of a fleet of the fastest and luxurious supercars, including Lamborghini Aventador and Bugatti Veyron and this latest addition will only add to their veritable collection.
The Cybertruck is sturdy as it has a thick exoskeleton made of cold-pressed stainless steel and the glasses are purported to be bulletproof, a claim yet to be verified.
This truck is also impressive when it comes to acceleration and the price range. With a price tag of just $69,900, it is expected to go from 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds and features a range of over 500 miles.
How the Dubai police is expected to procure this novel truck in 2020, when its production is expected to start only in late 2021, is still unclear.
